No concerns from me - as you may have noticed (on that thread) a poster alludes to the "upscale"" MHs with powered cord reels - rather than dragging the 50amp "anaconda" around.
When I moved up the feeding chain from a 30amp TT a few years ago to a 50amp 5th - I figured I would join 'em on that one (the powered cord reel).
Pull out what you need - push to rewind when it's time to move on.
(My favorite -but pricey- "gadget")
I've never noticed the cord remaining on the reel getting hot (or even warm) - but it's not really on my "to do" list either.
And of course, many - many years of TTs with the coiled (jumbled) 30amp cord stuffed in (and partially pulled out) of a pre-wired cord compt - without any problems.
IMO - I'll bet on mfgr "CYA" (and "Murphy") as far as putting it in owner's manuals.
Thanks for the offer to "share" over there - probably would get lost in the shuffle . . . but I might have to try some of those formulas for fun!
