I decided to mount my generator from my pinbox. I'm not finished yet, but this gives a pretty good idea of how it will work.
Here is the receiver. It was originally a factory 2010 Dodge Ram receiver before being chopped up.

Here is the unfinished generator platform that will be bolted to the bottom of the generator.

This is the Champ sitting on the gen platform for a test fit.

One of the changes I'm thinking of making is to shorten the arm by about 2.5". I'm thinking I should keep it as close to the receiver as possible.

I want to run a 30amp extension cord from the generator into my basement storage and leave it there permanently. I can either plug my shore cord into the gen extension cord or run the shore cord out to a pedestal. No transfer switch needed since the shore cord can only be plugged into one or the other.
I haven't found a good way to get the 30amp cord out to the pinbox. If anyone has any suggestions on how they routed the cord, let me know.
