Admittedly, I didn't scrutinize every post in this thread, indeed, missed many, so I could've easily breezed past it. Was this definitive '2800 Watts continuous' measured, or extracted from load (appliance) data placards?

As we all know, or should know, there is usually trade-offs with all equipment... including generators. A variety of sources seem to indicate that the new generation of portable inverter gensets bless us with reduced physical size, reduced weight, reduced noise, and in many cases, cleaner 60Hz power. But in return, the consensus is revealing reduced surge capacity, lower efficiency (when running much above 30% or greater loads), and much higher costs (both initially and for parts). Take your pick.
My MH is on 24V continuous (four 220Ah batteries and 350W solar). I also have an 8 HP 24Vdc LPG generator for remote/backup charging. So for me, an inverter genset would be an unwise investment.
