Frequency "Spin Down". Very expensive AC generators have built-in protection circuits.
On ships with the spin down problem we had to specify volts-per-hertz self-regulating (saturated field) generators.
"Do your generators have spin-down protection for your voltage regulator?"
Either they do or they don't. Oops is expensive.
