88 Lance Truck Camper Wiring To Pick up
I purchased used a Lance Truck Camper. If I am correct The wiring plug on the Lance should be a 7 pin/blade proprietary plug. That has been cut off by the previous owner and replaced with a 6 pin round. The six pin round is what is on the Chevy pickup. After blowing a few fuses I tore it all apart and found out just how proprietary Lances plugs are. So at this point I have the running lights, left and right brakes and turns, so here is my question. 1. coming off the chevy are two heavy gauge wires (LOOK 8ga AND 10ga) the 8 being red with a small white and blue stripe (this wire is hot) , and the 10 being blue which I believe to be for the brakes. Now per wiring diagrams this red hot wire should be wired to the 40amp "interior lts" wire which Lance has as a 8 gauge black wire, this wire is also hot. so the question is: Can I wire those two hot wires together 9one being hot from camper battery and the other being hot from the truck battery. I am not into electrical so I aint to smart.
