I owned a smaller size (21 oz) Shurflo accumulator tank and used it in a number of campers and my own view is that although it did help reduce pump cycling somewhat it wasn't enough to still not be annoying. Eventually I sold it and don't bother using one in our current trailer as pump cycling doesn't bother us because I've modified my pump installation so it can barely be heard at all. That of course doesn't prevent pump cycling when a faucet is partially open so this spring I may take another look at this BUT if I install an accumulator it'll be a 2 gal (256 oz) size. Shurflo does offer a
2 gal version but here in Canada it's way too costly so I think I'd just get a much less expensive
home version from Lowes, DIY a vertical mount for it, and convert the fitting to 1/2" NPT. If the pump has to run for a few minutes to refill the tank it won't matter to me as it runs so quietly now anyway. :B
