Today I had the gen doing its best with my 75 amp converter doing 75 amps into the battery bank, and tried adding a 40w 120v lamp to the gen's load. All that did was add some more VA.
I think the trick is more for trying to get an inverter to survive a surge on motor start up. Anyway, no good to me! Worth a try though, while I find out what's what with my new little generator.
