Lifeline-----$312/1000 cycles =$.31 per cycle
SC Duracell $180/370 cycles =$.49 per cycle
Sort of a 'no-brainer', isn't it.

It is! :) That calculation only works if you did all those cycles.
Full-time dry camp like us...And you can hit that Mark easy
Don't know about in fishing boat,
Might take ten years, then again..nobody wants a battery failure and to get stranded on the water while fishing
Agreed. I am just fussing about the math. To compare better, you need to pick a number of cycles that you will do and THEN do the costs
Say you do 1000 and quit. You have the cost of the Lifeline, but now to do the same you need 370 and 370 = 740 but now you need a third 370 for 1110 so you need to spend 3 x 180= $540
But if you pick 1110, then you need a second set of Lifelines to do the extra 110 so that's 2 x 312 =624 against 540
But if you pick 740 that's 312/740 = 42 cents a cycle, not 31 and much closer to that 49 cents.
Just saying the cost per cycle is not a very useful measurement for this purpose.
