My PD ems 30 amp on board didn't like my Honda 3000. I wired it into the shore side only. Gen to transfer, shore to ems to transfer. Really no need to protect from generator power but that's just my experience. Well, let me add that I dont feel that I need to protect from a HONDA or Yam gen. Others, well......
