My PI EMS has a setting for a power on delay of some seconds... 90? or none by changing a jumper within the unit.
Progressive Industries portable EMS units have a fixed delay of 136", hardwire versions are factory set to 15" but can be changed to 136" by opening the case and removing the delay jumper. There is no such thing as zero delay with any of these units.
the delay setting isn't going to help in eco mode. during the delay, the generator will be running at idle in eco mode with no load. when the delay ends, the generator will instantly see the ac load, and either (a) kick the generator overload, (b) start the relay chatter routine due to dropping low enough to go below the relay hold in, or (c) in the very best conditions let the ac start. but 15 seconds, 136 seconds, 10 seconds, doesn't much matter same process. generator goes is idling and instantly see LRA after the delay.
The delay feature is designed for time to start the generator and get it up to speed before switching so your not STARTING the generator with a load present.
