Was wondering how much transyn fluid I wil lose when changing the spin-on filter on my Allison T1000 transmission? If I have 1 gallon on hand, will that be adequate to top off the transmission? Thank...

Yes, About a cup. Since the filter is installed vertically, I prefill. I guess you could catch what runs out once it is loosened and measure. Prefill the filter then put an equal amount back in.
