Absolutely. We downsized, and at the same time went from 4 drivetrains to maintain to 2. Not only did we sell the Winnebago, losing 1 drivetrain, we sold the Subaru we bought to tow behind the Winnebago. The only reason we bought the Subaru was to tow it. We already had a pickup truck, but traded it in on a new one because the old one did not have a tow package.

After owning the Winnebago for 10 years, we had a good idea of how much we DIDN'T need. It is only the 2 of us, and we don't spend a lot of time in the RV unless it is bad weather.

I sure am glad you posted that photo. Last April we traded off our 2007 Winnebago Outlook with an Apollo Halftime Microwave. It had served us well for 10 years. I would have hated learning that it failed for the new owners. The picture shows it is a different model Outlook though.

Another suggestion. Just discard the whole thing and purchase two separate units. A surface unit and then just a little "cubby" where a cheap Walmart microwave fits.

I would imagine that the keypad could be retained but power removed from it. Removing the microwave's fascia with the rivets or "buttons" would be my first step. You may find that a sheet of metal needs to be installed under the burners if the oven is enclosed and the top acts as the burner drip pan.

It may entail some work but the microwave should be replacable. If the function of the existing microwave has only failed due to keypad failure or some other electrical failure, it's possible that it can be repaired. Unfortunately, with the higher cost of repair compared to the low cost of a replacement, replacement may be the more attractive method.

Some observations...

Unless "they" used flexible tubing to pipe (?) connectors, separating the burner top from the oven would involve pivoting the stove top at the rear.

Can you see "anything" by taking the burner grills off and somehow wedging a small mirror and aim a flashlight to light up the area to see the burner manifolds?

Adjacent cupboards have no screws to fix the entire unit in place? I sure would look underneath looking up.

It is very likely nothing can be done until the entire unit is removed, which will expose hidden screws.

Pull the microwave and toss it. Remove the control panel from the range shroud and replace it with a strip of brushed stainless. There has to be a way to accomplish that. The control panel has to attach with screws or some type of clips from the backside. Look for a sheet metal or a commercial kitchen shop / supplier for the stainless.

They are not regular screws, but more like buttons. I've taken some of them off already. My question involves the integrated stainless steel top that has the keypad and covers the propane burners. It looks like trying to replace it with a regular microwave (as some have suggested) will not work.
