Atwood 8535 IV DCLP burner cycles endlessly

The furnace is an Atwood 8535-IV DCLP. The problem…..blower starts as it should. Burner lights and burns for 2 or 3 seconds then shuts down. This goes on endlessly. It DOES NOT lock out after 3 attempts. Sometimes the burner will stay lit after 6 to 10 tries but usually not. When the problem first started it seemed to take 3 or 4 attempts for the burner to stay lit and progressively got worse.
The regulator is a Camco 2 stage that appears to not be adjustable. I tested the pressure today at 12” WC with 3 stove burners and water heater running. DC voltage is 13.2 volts.
I have replaced the sail switch and swapped the control board with a known good board.
I have a new Marshall adjustable regulator on the way just for good measure.
Additionally, the flue is stuck.
I’d appreciate any troubleshooting help anyone can offer and thoughts on how to free the flue. I want to get the burner out but can’t do that until I can get the flue out.

  • Thanks Biscuit. Problem seems to have been a leak between ducts and intake. The seam of a piece of duct tape came ungluded and allowed heated air to be sucked back into intake. Retaping this joint appears to have solved the problem. Still testing but I think it is good to go.
  • 'Limiting'
A condition caused by over-heating the Limit Switch.
The burner turns on and off during a heating cycle

    Can be caused by:
    Restricted ducting
    Obstructed return air
Defective 'Limit Switch' (L190 temp disc)

Vent ...... S/B held in place by a 'wing nut'
