Atwood heater failure - need advise!
The Atwood 8531 model heater for my camper fails to produce heat. Started two days ago.
I drove across country several weeks ago, and it worked perfect through the cold and storms in the southeast. Upon my arrival in Cali, it worked perfect for the couple weeks of use while here.
Fast forward to now. The fan comes on, but there is no sound from the igniter and I am blowing cold air.
Filled both propane bottles (they were not empty), and I'm plugged in @ RV spot.
Removed the propane supply assembly from the heater and inspected the igniter assembly. Perfectly clean and functional. DID remove some corrosion from the wiring connection to the igniter with a wire brush. No change.
RV store is telling me the circuit board is probably the culprit ($140).
Any thoughts? This is a basic, gas-only, heater for a toy-hauler. Thanks in advance
