Bath room lighting

I have one of those Commode in a phone both size room and the lighting is not very bright if you try to read, the lighting is the push in bulbs, are there brighter bulbs that I can install?? there is no 110 plugin in the room.

    There are always brighter lamps but they generate more heat (Less you switch to LED and often those are not all that bright)

    You might wish to install more lights.

    Same as others, I prefer reading on a couch rather than on a commode. But, if you do need to read there - try installing LED boards up to the max wattage shown on your fixture. LED provide 3-4 times more light per watt than regular incandescent bulbs.

    The problem with many bathroom lights is not the brightness, but poor location and poor diffuser. 2-bulb partially-frosted dome light on the wall above the mirror creates lots of shades on the face and not enough light on the sink.
  • Halogens make better task lights, IMO. You can also get some really bright LED's now.
  • Do your business and get out......reading is not good for the derriere. :B

    Bayonet style

    Wedge Base style



    Higher wattage bubs are available......question is What can your fixture handle (rated for)?
  • I have never been one to combine a crapper and a library. I like to drop and ditch.
