After working on friends trailer last week, one item that was not addressed was the size of the battery cabling, which I believe was a 6AWG (maybe an 8AWG, not sure) for his 2001 trailer, a 26 ft mode...

Assuming he wants a fast charge with limited generator time I suggest pulling #4 wire.
If the pull is difficult just leave it as is. May need an extra 20 to 40 minutes charging is all.
Real test would be to measure voltage during initial charging of a low battery. Compare voltage at the converter vs. the battery terminals.
