After working on friends trailer last week, one item that was not addressed was the size of the battery cabling, which I believe was a 6AWG (maybe an 8AWG, not sure) for his 2001 trailer, a 26 ft mode...

I am about 25' from the converter to the batteries, the factory had installed a #6 postitive wire and using the frame as the ground path. I added a #4 in parallel to the #6 giving me an effective #2, and also replaced the pigtails to the frame on either end with #2.
