It's NOT fixed voltage that degenerates, it's voltage that is inapprpriate for the battery that drives a stake through ir's heart.
Chemical erosion and electrolytic ablation are the two factors in wear-and-tear. What I sought was not offered - accounts of 300+ full and complete 50% cycles. The relevance of lab rat test cycles versus "reality".
As a guess it seems most are dying far short of published specs and BFL13 brought up perhaps the most poignant observation - they are being unintentionally destroyed. This is not dissimilar to what was happening 10, 20, 30 years ago before algorithms dominated the charging process. Overcharging percentiles have exchanged itself for undercharging failures.
