Battery question

OP at 7:20 am, he has a 5th wheel w/ no generator, and doesn't know how to run a tv.
1 1/4 hrs later, 8:35, he has a 750 watt generator.

I don't know how he had time to read a few posts, and go out and buy a 750 watt junk generator, and post back here, all in an hr and 15 minutes. I'm impressed.

Most modern TV's only run on 12 volts. If there is a little power pack, called a wall wart, that plugs into the 120 volt receptacle, look at it close. Most likely it will say 12 volt dc output, and the other end plugs into the TV. Just find, or build a cord that has a 12 volt cigarette lighter plug on one end and will plug into your TV with the other end.

if you actually purchased a 7.5K watt generator watch out for your neighbor...he may be coming to visit you and it won't be to have a beer.

and, how the heck are you going to move it???? wayyyy over kill....which your neighbor might have on his mind when visiting.

don't you read these topics? a 1000-2000K watt honda or yamaha is what you needed.

You need to start again, from the beginning.

1) Determine your power usage.

2) Size your Inverter accordingly.

3) Size your battery bank accordingly.

4) Size your charger(s) accordingly.

5) Size your generator accordingly.

One thing is for sure, a 7500w gennie is, in all likelihood, not what you need. More likely a Honda 2000i or 3000i inverter generator is indicated, and a modest solar set-up. All can be had for about $2500.

Your neighbors (if you have any) are going to love you!! I have yet to see a quiet 7500 watt generator. Especially for $750!

a 7000 watt generator is overkill, may be noisy, may have a poor wave form (the television may not like it), and may be expensive to run (lots of fuel consumption).

I'd suggest looking at one of the inverter generators. They cost more, but are quiet and much lighter weight.

While I can run my roof air on battery power via the inverter, one does have to recharge. If I need the roof air it is far more cost effective to find an inexpensive campground. For example Nebraska has 14 free campgrounds that provide shore power.

Ok all, Thank you for the advice. So my best bet is a generator. Good thing I got my tax return. I just purchased a 7500 watt, 50 amp. gen. So no worries. I would have purchased a gen with the 5th wheel. But they wanted $10000 by the time all was said and done. I just bought it for $750 with free shipping. I feel much better now. Thanks again.
