bedroom electrical outlets not working

I had problems with outlets not working boondocking and found out it was the gfi in the galley. I replaced it and the galley outlets work now but in testing everything realized that the bedroom outlets do not work, the bathroom gfi tested and works. I checked all the breakers and they are fine. Here is the weird part pluging in all the outlets work but unpluging nothing works there are two outlets on the left and two outlets on the right. Can anyone help me with what to look for thanks

Did you get the "line" and "load" connections correct on the new gfi?
  • When boondocking, I only have 2 outlets that work. Those are the living room entertainment center and bedroom television location. Those are the only ones connected to my 300 watt inverter.

If plugging in devices makes the outlets usable, the first suspect would be a loose wire in the circuit of outlets or a failed outlet. By inserting a male plug, you are establishing the failed continuity of the circuit. When you remove the male plug, continuity is lost.

I think he means the outlets work when he plugs the RV into shore power.
Sorry, I have a disconnect on the OP's use and and problems, I guess. Thanks for the correction.

Plugging in all outlets work but unplugged only selected outlets work (I rephrased to fit the situtation better)

You have an inverter, This is a device that makes 120vac out of 12vac Typically inverters power
    1: The Televison
2: The Bathroom GFCI and it's down-line outlets (not the bedroom)
    3: Microwave
3B: (If there is a different GFCI for the kitchen) The Galley GFCI.
    4 (Optional) Fridge and/or icemaker

    Still no bedroom outlets

Bedroom is only powered by the inverter IF you special request it due toa CPAP or other like medical device.

In short, in your case: Operation is normal.

Check your inverter - if you have one.

  • They may not be connected to the inverter at all, just when hooked to shore power - similar to load management for a household emergency generator.
  • i checked the inverter all is good, all the breakers are good,
