Some with ATV kinds of machines are going with the Lithium replacement. They are light and can kick buck and only cost 2-3x more than AGM.
They require no special charging system either and give up 96% of stored energy unlike lead batteries and have next to no self discharging.
Gale, you're dead-on about certain Lithium-Ion batteries being the final solution to the RV power storage problem. However I have some kind of hangup, yet, with having to live in dire fear - like a Tesla owner - of having to eventually replace a battery bank costing more then the vehicle (sans it's battery bank) :E :

Well, lifting a couple of those 12 volt Group 31s to put into place a total of 230 AH of AGM capacity is still a wee bit easier than lifting one of these to put into place 260 AH of AGM capacity:

However, remember that you only lift an AGM battery twice in it's lifetime - once to mount it into your RV, and once to remove it from your RV years later. There's no removing/reinstalling it every so often to clean the corrosion out of your battery storage area and then sand and repaint the storage area. :W - Gale_HawkinsExplorerSome with ATV kinds of machines are going with the Lithium replacement. - pnicholsExplorer IIChris,
Yeah, you're right. I zoomed in on the battery and saw that after I had posted.
What I would really like to replace with are these, if I decide to spend the money when the time comes ... as they're probably big buck AGM batteries. What I especially like about these is their even larger capacity (115 AH each), and recommended float voltages that exactly match my stock 13.8 volt RV converter's output so I don't have to buy an additional charger:

Those may be China-made batteries.. if that's important to you.
I'll probably put a couple of those Universal 12v 110 AH Deep Cycle Sealed AGM batteries - pnicholsExplorer IIGale,
Great link above!! Thanks much.
I'll probably put a couple of those Universal 12v 110 AH Deep Cycle Sealed AGM batteries in our rig when I replace our current AGM batteries. Note that it says that AGM batteries need no special charger for them and that they can be shipped by air or ground. Great capacity in this model, too. - 2oldmanExplorer III've just invested $1200 in 4 AGMs. Why? I want them, I like them, and after watering FLAs for 10 years I'm tired of it. I also have plenty of money. Yup, that's pretty much it.

I hate the 6volt series configuration also. One cell heads south and your out of business.
