How long, how many feet is his 10 gauge wires from panels to controller? I've never seen one less than 25 feet so I'll call that best case scenario. With this setup he would need 4 ga wire to be at 3% loss. 6 ga would put him at 5% loss and 10 ga is way too skinny!
