- KJINTFExplorerHow about supplying
Make & Model of the converter
They are fairly typically easy to repair - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIDid you disconnect battery from converter and then test?
Did you test the battery specific gravity? - 2oldmanExplorer IICan you provide us with a 'resting' battery voltage?
- Did you un plug the converter to see if it trips without it?
- campiglooExplorerThanks everyone. Starting to sound like the converter. Nothing else is wired to this breaker. After unplugging the camper from shore power, resetting the breaker and plugging back in, it trips instantly.

What else is on the circuit? Electric element on water heater?
Try unplugging or disconnecting the converter. It could be a bad input coil but doubtful.
This is the best advice. Instead of throwing parts at the problem, hoping the problem will go away, do some research to find what else is on that circuit. Turn off every breaker but the converter and then go on a hunt to find what else is active. I bet your problem is not the converter or battery, but just a circuit breaker doing its job and tripping when overloaded. I bet the electric water heater is on the same circuit! - Not normally.

Converter could be bad causing AC circuit breaker to trip
AC circuit breaker could be weak and tripping early
Another circuit could be fed off that breaker and could be cause of breaker tripping (two different devices piggy backed on same breaker)
Check your battery specific gravity.....could be bad cell
Disconnect battery positive cable at converter connection and test converter DC output....should be 13.2V ---14.2V DC. If not converter is bad
Check the load side of AC circuit breaker for piggybacking another device. If it is separate and test each device individually
Check amp draw
Replace AC circuit breaker - LittleBillExplorerNo
