- mark5wExplorerIt will be difficult to get the substrate dry behind the filon wall. Sometimes a water activated glue like Gorilla glue will stick or a marine epoxy like PC 11. Don't plan on getting it flat.
- FisherguyExplorerDoes that trailer have fiberglass batts for insulation or foam? Wood studs or alum?
Looks like a really nice trailer, comfy I bet. - cannesdoExplorerOk, so I'm thinking...the stove is on that wall. Would cranking the oven up help dry out that wall once I open it up?
- FisherguyExplorerYa, thats what I was thinkin... ;)
(Sorry, I didn't read page 2 before replying)
Good luck with that, hopefully the fix turns out well. - RVUSAExplorer

What make RV is this BTW? (Just curios)
gravity rarely moves water upward. :B - cannesdoExplorerYeah, no, it's the roof. Knew it was time to get that caulk redone. No evidence of anything around or under the window, just the laminate problem. Big evidence on the roof and down below the rig -- directly below -- on the cement. Seems like if I open it up and dry it out and then seal it up, it should be ok. ? It's the A/C water. It's an Alpenlite Stonecreek 5'er.
- RVUSAExplorerYou have to seal the leak with the correct caulking, not silicone.
You can repair the bulge by draining it (small hole near the bottom of the bulge) then filling it with epoxy (small hole near the top of the bulge and a syringe) then pulling a vacuum on the area to force the bulge back flat or clamping like these guys do.

What make RV is this BTW? (Just curios) - cannesdoExplorerOh no...ohhhh no. It's the water from the AC. It's running to that one spot and when I scrubbed the roof edges last week when I cleaned the roof I must have opened up a leak. Water is running down inside. And just tonight, out the bottom -- a very very slow drip. How do I dry out the inside of the wall. Is it me or does that look like black mold? They can't open it up, can they? I'm thinking all you can do is dry it out well and then reseal it. ?
I just lost any reseale value I might have had. *sigh*
Going hunting for videos that might explain what one does about this.
Any input would be appreciated. If I take the window out I figure I might have a better sense of how bad it is. Might be able to dry it out better with a blow dryer or something. ? - cannesdoExplorerOk, thanks! Any recommendations for the stuff that goes around the vents etc...on the roof? Or how to get the old stuff off? And how to strip the old stuff off the edge of the roof? The rubber on the roof has been checked and is ok for now.
First timer...thanks so much!
