Sheesh I'll say it again.
Some of the more horrid vibration in applications is found on the interior of alternators.

Crimp
Terminations
Fail
They fail via heat oxidation. The classic is the older Ford 7070 large frame alternators. The Wye wound 70 amp and the Delta wound 70 ampere. The oxidation was because of elevated heat in conjunction with the size of the ring terminals used. Not only would the three stator terminals fail -- the Wye parallel connector would as well. Finally every OEM from AC Delco to Zebco dumped crimping -- utterly. You will find no crimped terminations in Worldwide manufactured alternators. And don't quote the FAA. I had an FAA/PMA license. OEM PMA stators were SOLDERED and insanely expensive. Solder a car alternator stator and it was indistinguishable from the PMA unit.
The job of O2 is to oxidize. Allow it to get into contact with copper and it goes to work.
Technicians who have never applied themselves and businesses who do not want to pay for the extra money needed are famous for creating remarkable fairy tales about the "advantages" of crimping over soldering.
