Changed carburetor, but now have new problem - smoke?

I have an Onan Marquis Gold 7000. Float was bad so I put in a new carburetor. New carburetor installed fine, generator started right up with no problem, producing electricity 118volts @ 62Hz. Runs ...

Update: smoke was being created from burning oil. Oil was seeping out of the yellow fill cap (was not tightened all the way). SOLVED.
