Chinese Versus TAIWAN Hand Tools

I have used both and in my opinion the comparison is night and day.

Some stores like Auto Zone carry TAIWAN mechanic's tools

And then there is MEANWELL power supplies versus mainland garbage

Yes I am angry

My hand is bandaged

A mainland ratchet stripped it's brand new teeth and my hand gashed across a 4" hole saw. The ratchet was brand new.

I am going to STRIP every Mainland China hand tool and into the garbage it goes. Don't get smartass about branded tools. I am talking about Made In China unbranded hand tools

  • I've never bought an unbranded hand tool that was made in China, or made in India, or Pakistan. In fact I wouldn't buy any hand tool that was made in China. China can make decent things, Sailun tires for example, but hand tools made in China deserve to be kept in China.
  • Dad always told me......buy good quality tools ONCE vs a bunch of cheap tools

And why was a 4" hole saw in vacinity of work....just asking for an 'encounter' which never bodes well for 'encountie'

They are pounding sand. It's used to make silica, for glass, which they sell here in the USA.

Pittsburgh tools are made in both countries. They seem to much better than the average junk made in China. They match up pretty well with Craftsman tools.
