Even when I was using fifteen cents per gallon Mexican diesel, the 10.5 gallons a day added up. Not so much from the cost of the fuel but the hundred and six mile drive to go get it. Now I forget the AC and generator and simply climb altitude, or go hug the breakers (salt water type). It won't take long at what three dollars some odd cents a gallon to make the exorbitant cost of a power pedestal seem to diminish - rapidly.
To answer your question directly, that AC is going to pull a lot more than sixteen measly amperes trying to restart on high head. Advice: Reduce all other loads in your RV if the A/C is cycling.
