The only thing missing is the glow feature. I don't believe that such an animal is made with your other requirements. - pnicholsExplorer III use a digital readout, NIST-constantly-calibrated, plug-in with battery backup clock next to my bed. In addition to it's unusual "lit" LCD readout panel (for night reading) facing out the front - it also projects big red time numerals onto the bedroom ceiling. The ceiling projection of time is pure genious, IMHO. The batteries seem to last forever because power outages are rare enough such that the batteries don't get used much.
Now ... if only I could find a similar clock that projected an ANALOG clock face onto the ceiling instead of digital numerals ... nirvana. :C - MEXICOWANDERERExplorerWhite face, black hands, plug-in with automatic battery back up, rear panel glow at night, analog..................and I can't find one.
- pnicholsExplorer IIWe like and buy the cheapest, largest number size, sharpest color contrast between background and hands, best outer frame color coordinated, quartz movement powered by AA (not AAA) batteries .... clocks we can find. The ultimate find for us is one that is also automatcially kept precision set by radio signals from NIST.
We usually can get all of the above for under $20. - noplace2ExplorerThis thread made me curious, so I just did a walk through this rig we call home. We have one analog wall clock. All the rest are digital, both LED and LCD. I really don't have a preference.

That's a total of 22 timekeeping entities and I probably missed 1 or 2. Neither my wife nor I have worn a watch for 15 years. Go figure. - wa8yxmExplorer IIIThe answer to the subject line question is YES.
Digital or Analog.. I use both - Horizon170ExplorerAnalog mostly for me and most run off 1 AAA battery. Alarm by the bed is Digital. I use a 120 V analog in conjunction with a stop watch to check the Frequency of my generators.
