Coachmen Cross Country rear bedroom slide problem

I just purchased 2004 Cross Country 372DS and took out for first trip on the weekend. The rear bedroom slide works off the hydraulic jack pump . Anyways after 1-2 hours the slide moves back in all but 4 inches. Any suggestions where I should be looking? Would this be possible a solenoid leaking back?

If you see no leaks(probably not since the previous owner had the same problem), you have (depending on the brand of the slide system/pump), a solenoid at the pump leaking internally or the slide cylinder/s are leaking internally. It is also possible one of the electric solenoids AT the pump is not shut tight. They usually have a manual release on the solenoid. Your time frame points to a not tight solenoid. Most rooms that drift, takes 10 to 24 hours and usually only a few inches. Hyd rooms require constant pressure to stay open and retracted. How far does the room retract? Doug

    Hi Doug

If this helps out any but I have to put the HWH hydraulics power up switch on at the front for my leveling jack for the rear bedroom slide to operate. The rear bedroom slide extends 12" out and will retract basic all the way in. I just put it out and 1 hour later it is retracted all the way in. Thanks

Are you saying that it comes in by itself, or that it won't come in all the way when you want it to?

Sorry I did not explain properly. I am going to get the Motorhome out of winter storage next week.

When I went to campground for the first time and set up to stay for the weekend. After 30 mins to 1 hour the rear bedroom slide moved in by itself. The slide closed up to the bed and left no room to move around. The slide has a closet in it.
I talked to old owner and he said it has done it for years and he just put a piece of 2 X 4 in to stop closing !! Not wanting to use a piece of wood and would let to fix it.
    Thanks
