coleman mach ac swap to dometic?

I am having issues with one of my RVs. One has a Coleman mach AC unit with unknown BTUs... can I do a straight swap to dometic? I also need to replace thermostat. It should be straight forward. I just hope mounting brackets will match up. If dometic and Coleman have same mounts it should just be a wiring issue then correct? Old AC unit completely fried as in fan Kotor gone and compressor failure. Long hours in south Texas sun! Time for new unit. Just trying to see if I can convert to new unit. Please help. Full timer in July! In south Texas!

  • Frame mounts should be in box. Perfect. Now wiring should be standard. So next would be thermostat and control interface. That should be simple if using dometic products. Thanks for the help guys. Will post if something goes right...or wrong!
  • All new mounting hardware should be included in the new airbox assembly.

ALL RV roof mount AC's use the standard 14 by 14 inch hole in the roof. BUT, you will have to get the COMPLETE AC and mount kit if you are changing brands. The wall tstat wiring will be OK as you will only be using 3 of the 6/7 tstat wire harness.
  • If you go with a different brand you will need the airbox assembly and thermostat & control box to go with it.
