CO2 is not, NOT, pollution. Pollution is pollution. CO2 is clean, natural and needed by nature. The World grows green with more CO2.

Yet, CO2 is everything, carbon is in everything , so control the element that is in everything and you control EVERYTHING!

Electric cars??? FIne. They are dirty. They require power plants, mostly coal burning power plants. That goes against the "green" (fake-green) people. Their batteries cannot be recycled, require great energy and effort and electricity to mine and process - ie, not green. Meanwhile, gas engines are nearly 100% recyclable. Their steel engine blocks are prized the world over as raw materials.

Electric cars can be controlled by big bro. Control is the goal. Hello covd?

Ford CEO Jim Farley outlined Thursday, with a series of tweets, that the automaker is now expecting to make 600,000 electric vehicles per year globally by the end of 2023. That’s double the previous plan, and enough to potentially be considered the number-two EV maker in the U.S. by then—if other automakers keep to their current plans, that is.

How many years is the half life?

How many SNR's exist in North America? (none at the moment)

How many SNR's are there in the world (2 in Russia but with only one completed with a cost over run of 100%)

How small is an SNR (about 2 football fields).

Where is the permanent storage facility in the world? (none at the moment)

What was the cost on the last 2 nuclear reactors in North America (2016) 27 billion dollars.

How much solar could be installed for 27 billion--with RETAIL pricing being as low as $0.26 cents per watt?

And you like the nuclear option? Go buy a Prevost!

Bottom line is that while EV’s might truly present a ‘joyful ownership’ experience, any claims of EV’s making a positive net impact to the environment seem overly simplistic and curiously superficial (as with windmills, lacking authentic environmental ‘net gain’ evaluation), while driven by the currency of ‘green’ tax subsidies and by ‘feel-good’ politics (as if on cue…).

As with ALL other ‘well intentioned’ but ill-conceived rush to wars (say, since Viet Nam…) the current war on boogyman carbon dioxide (setting forth the pre-supposition of yet another Emergency), is yet another stab at shallow public policy making - Think Forrest Gump…

As far a nuclear goes (unlike most other solutions), at least nuclear waste has a half life (think lead), and is recyclable…

Yes we spent tons of money defending and controlling the Middle East and tons preparing for the Russian attack.
Maybe if these costs could be cut and used to build and maintain our roads in our country this would be win-win.

We agree on the Nuclear waste. I've spent hours this week asking what the powers that be will do with the waste from the proposed SNR program slated to start in 2029 in Saskatchewan. I feel as if I'm playing "whack a mole".

Yep, smelting is not an environmentally clean process (who would buy a house next to a smelting plant?). Of course sourcing all electrical generation from hydro plants would be nice ending to this fairy tale story, but it is not practical. How many more hydro dams can be built on the Colorado River? None is what my people tell me.

Imagine the challenge of shipping expired BEV lithium batteries from Hawaii to the wastelands of Nevada (USA's hub for destructive open pit lithium mining and battery production operations). You know the pristine area near the Oregon and Nevada border where several Indian tribes also call home, known as Thacker Pass. Imagine all the hazmat (expired batteries) being shipped by rail for recovery.

Is the current plan to let someone else in the future solve this riddle? If so, remember what happened to nuke waste.....like I said, some of us old folks have seen this movie before (including the B&W and the updated Technicolor version).

Since 2012 I've only driven 45000 miles (in the car). I did loan the car to a friend for 5 years when ever I was traveling, snowbirding and full time. That friend probably drove 25000 of those miles, but here are the figures assuming I drove them all myself.

45000 / 9 / 366 =~14 miles per day. So either of these vehicles would almost never require charging at my location. Sono 21-14 = 7; 214/ 7 =~31 days to fully charge. Lightyear one 40-14=26; 450/26 =~17 days to fully charge.

How many sun free days could be accommodated? Sono 214/ 14 =~15 days; Lightyear one 450 /14 =~32 days.

Both cars meet and exceed my maximum required range (180 miles). The Sono Sion cost is about $33,000.00 usd. The lightyear one is about $175,000.00
