I have a dual hose portable. It is the largest one made for a 15 amp outlet and is rated at 12.5K BTU heating and 13K BTU cooling. Single hose portables are a joke but not this thing. If connecting the hosed to a window, they can get quite bulky and require the unit to be 6-8 inches away from the wall. If installing in an RV, I'd try and mount right against the wall with two holes for the hoses straight out through the wall. I use mine in a shop office

todays rv ac units at 13.5KBTU is about 4,500 watts, from 10 to 13A or 1200 to 1500 watts input. again COP of around 3 to 4.

remember a heat pump which is what your AC, fridge, freezer etc. is, just MOVES heat from one location to another. inside to outside or vice versa. It doesn't make any heat, other then the inefficiency of moving the heat.

This is a 120VAC unit. 4.6A, 21A LRA !

We're planning on using one of these Kingtec units- 13.5kbtu off 45 amps of 12 volt power. Way more efficient than an inverter/120 volt model. Right around $3k

Along with the others......I think not.

I have two hybrids, a Ford and a Toyota. Both have high voltage compressors that are fed off of the hybrid batteries. The 12 V system in any hybrids that I've seen are pretty weak.

The true DC units I've seen are 48 volts DC and go for a premium price.
