The man up the street is in HVAC and is the one whose Door I looked at, determining it was too big. I asked him to watch for a blower from an old unit. He asked which voltage and he said a 120 blower could take awhile. 240's every day, but that's what we have around here. HVAC units have heat strips so they wire the whole indoor unit to 240, motor and all. An old Furnace, on the other hand, circulates only air and those are 120. Heat only's pretty rare in FL. Anyhow, the techs usually wire cords to 120 blowers they come across and use them to circulate the attic making it less unbearable to work up there. So the 120 units tend to live "on the truck" with some tech.
I'm on serious downtime myself right now. Wouldn't be building anything if I had it, so I'll let my request simmer and see what he can do for me. There are another possible sources but I'm housebound. I saw this first source (neighbor down the street, HVAC tech) before the surgery that's got me pinned down.
