Just to clarify, there is no problem with the 120VAC but the power did go off and I was sitting there while the furnace ran for 20 minutes until the whole house 12V went off for a couple seconds. AFAIK only the 12V auto reset breaker could cause that. I know the whole house went down because my propane detector went off too and my internet booster.
I'm thinking of putting a battery booster cable directly from the battery to the 12V distribution bypassong the switch and breaker to see if that isolates the problem.
Battery ground to frame is tight without corrosion.
