Do battery cutoffs and auto-reset breakers ...

...fail in such a way that they reduce battery capacity? I put a brand new battery in my rig but this morning 20 minutes of furnace dropped the voltage enough that the main circuit breaker tripped ...

The battery going flat is one thing, but the breaker popping and needing a reset is another. The breaker acts on amps not voltage.

Installing a new battery is always a vulnerable time to get the wiring to the battery mixed up with all the various wires going to the two battery posts.
