Dometic 2663 RM fridge won't stay lit

I bought a 2016 Northern Lite 10.2 CD EX SE back in Feb. The unit came with a Dometic 2663 RM that just won't stay lit. It runs fine on electric, but not on gas. I've had it in for service 4 times. The dealer replaced the burner tube, both circuit boards, rerouted the propane lines coming off the tanks, checked, rechecked, and calibrated and adjusted everything but it still doesn't work. It has never stayed lit overnight and the check light is on every morning. It is very difficult to light, often going thru the entire ignition sequence several times unsuccessfully. It is not uncommon for the check light to come on 4 or 5 times a day. Sometimes the check light comes on as soon as I turn the fridge on. Any idea what could be wrong?

The dealer rerouted the propane line leaving the tanks so there are no kinks. The propane pressure at the unit is within specs. All the other propane appliances work perfectly.

I picked the unit up from the dealer because they thought it was fixed. I didn't know it was still malfunctioning until I got it home and could run it for a while.

Maybe the solenoid or thermocouple are bad even though they tested okay?

You state it constantly malfunctions. So, either you are nuts or the dealer is nuts. It HAD to constantly malfunction at the dealer if it fails as often as you state. So, as another posted, I have lost faith in that dealer. You can take to any Dometic Service Center for warranty work. Now, if it goes to CHECK immediately when turning on that is NOT a LP supply problem. It will only go to CHECK after a 3 times attempt at lighting or if lit and then goes out and fails to relight. • maybe its just me? but I don,t trust or beleave the dealer.I,d do the tank test myself. theres no way to know IF the dealer did it?.sounds like a gas supply problem ,lines,, reg,, frig solonoid,, or not having a steady 12v . let us know the fix for this one.

  • 1. I would run an external LP tank and hose direct to the refer and check for a few days. IF that did not fix the problem, then the odds are the Wire Harness between the rear Circuit Board and the inside eyebrow has a short or open circuit
    2. If it fails as often as you state, WHY did you pick up the unit from the dealer if they failed to fix it????????? Doug
  • Obviously you have a gas flow problem. Start by checking for a kinked or blocked line.
