Well we took it to the dealer and it was the thermostat. And with our unit you can run off of shore power with no battery on gas or electric.
YES you can run off shore power w/o a battery......but you can't run w/o 12V DC power to fridge on electric or propane.
The 12V DC powers the control board, panel lights, gas valve etc.
On shore power your 'converter' is supplying the 12V DC System.
And you really should get a new battery cause IF you tow that trailer anywhere it is Federal Law to have a working battery that will activate/hold power on trailer brakes for 15 mins should trailer become disconnected from tow vehicle and become a 'run away' :S
New battery was purchased a few weeks ago, we are good to go. Thanks for the information.
There was a little misleading information on this thread and not from you.
Thanks again.
Glad to hear your fridge is working & you have a new battery. - WonderingWomanExplorer

You are confusing Battery with shore power. IT TAKES 12 VOLTS TO OPERATE YOUR REFER. The shore power supplies 120 to your POWER CONVERTER and THAT supplies 12 volts to the refer. You do not have to have a battery connected, but you NEED a battery to help regulate the Power output from the converter. Doug
Actually I wasn't as well as you, there were others who insisted we install the new battery.
All is well now.
Have a great day :) - Old-BiscuitExplorer III

We had a power outage and the refrigerator is the only thing that will not work after power was restored.
This will cause the 120 fuse on the Refer control board to blow. When it blows it will NOT run on 120 on auto but go directly to LP. Doug- WonderingWomanExplorerAm I looking at a fuse or a flipped breaker in the control panel inside?

Weird, the battery has been dead and we were always able to use it on both gas and shore power.
That's correct. The converter is supplying 12 VDC when plugged into shore power. - WonderingWomanExplorerWeird, the battery has been dead and we were always able to use it on both gas and shore power.
