Duo Therm roof A/C

I turned on the DIP switch on the rear roof A/C.....plus the heat strip.
The A/C came on & all is well.
Kinda love the new technology.

Cloud Dancer has the OLD 5 button CCC system. The odds are you had the 4 button CCC system, not the 5 button. You have the 12 button system now. To make each individual tstat work separately, you MUST have a 12 volt source to each control board. On the standard CCC, the only 12 volts is to the Zone 1 control board and THAT 12 volts powers the REAR Zone 2(or3) control boards. Cloud Dancer ran another 12 volt power to his rear Zone 2 to make the 2nd tstat work. Doug

THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM. Dometic is NOT in the business to tell lay people how to install and troubleshoot. You MUST tell the Zone 2 module board it IS zone 2 by turning the DIP switch ON. You then must turn ON each applicable DIP switch (heat Strip/Furnace) and so on for that Zone. The Zone 1 is Zone 1 by default, but you have to turn on each DIP switch for whatever else is on the tstat(furnace/heat strip and any other). Doug

Both of my Dometic 15000 btu units quit, when my MH was only 3 months old.
Silly me, I was under the belief that having two roof units meant you had some redundancy (if one fails, the other will keep running).
From Phoenix to El Paso, I could NOT find any shop that could even look at it. They were all booked up, and said I had to wait one week before they could get to it! Instead of complaining about the stupid rigging, I got busy modifying the control system myself. I rewired the system such that the two units are completely separate from each other (except for feeding into a long common duct). Yes, I have one thermostat in the living room and one in the bedroom. And, it works GREAT! And, if one goes out it does NOT prevent the other from working! PLUS, it's a whole lot easier for me to diagnose any A/C problem.

Did you set the dip switches on the new module boards and then run a reset procedure for the thermostat?

If you're talking about Dometic's CCC2, then you might try this reset procedure.
