Electric Cost kWh Your Area?

Rates are tiered just like they are down here but if an individual uses 1000 kWh down here every two months (500 per month) they soon find themselves paying the eqvt of fifty US cents per kWh from the first kWh upward. I remember visiting relatives in the Seattle Area sixty years ago and hearing their rates were less than a penny. Of corse times change but wouldn't especially high or low rates have a profound effect on just exactly how a RVer lives?

For example I am allowed 150 kWh for two months 75 per month and the cosr eqvt is 5.2 cents per kWh. The next 15?0 kWh is 7.8 cents. Subsequent 50 kWh is 10 cents. Then WHAMMO. Fifty cents per kWh DAC Rate. Hit the DAC rate for awhile then the electricity commision starts billing fifty-cents per kWh from the get go for the next year.

All kWh monthly totals above are not monthly totals They are pricing per kWh in a TWO month period. First tier is 75 kWh per month. Second tier TWO months allowance. A person soon learns to live on very little power. And diesel and gas costs $3.50+ per gallon.
