Electrical issue with GFCI outlet
Started having issues with one of the GFCI outlets connected to the inverter. Thought it was the GFCI failing so I run out to the hardware store and get a new 20amp GFCI.
Installed new GFCI and it would not reset! Had the little light in the bottom corner flashing red. Triple checked that I had it wired properly.
Black & white 120 VAC
Black & ground 120 VAC
White & ground nothing
Start the generator and I'm able to reset & use the GFCI outlet w/o issue (GREEN LIGHT) but as soon as I kill the generator and the inverter takes over the outlet pops the GFCI. Not sure where to go from here. Hot, Neutral and ground properly connected.
Xantrex Freedom inverter, GFCI is on the 20 amp breaker. Microwave is on the 15 amp breaker. I thought it odd that the microwave was on the 15 amp breaker BUT after testing the 20 amp circuit I realized the entertainment center is also on the 20 amp circuit.
Ideas, thoughts?
