The thing is, does the welder really pull 20 amps? Or is that just the most it will pull on the highest setting with the largest rod? I don't know. The welder has a "High" and "Low" setting. Me thinks Low would be less than 20 amps.

If you want to be sure, just get another Honda!

Batteries? Jumper cables? Twenty or ninety wraps of fence wire otter do it.

My thinking after seeing that battery welder....Take the stick/rod end and connect to the positive lead of your house batteries! LOL :B

I have one of those and to put it mildly, it sucks on 120 volts. I may rewire for 220 and see what it does.
Three 12 volt batteries hooked in series for 36 volts and a set of jumper cables will work in a pinch. When on a long trip I carry some small rods and my self darkening helmet. Also battery cables to hook the batteries together. I've never had to use it in an emergency but I tried it at home with success.
I would never hook a welder to my eu2000i.

I always take welding rods with me.
