Experts in things turn signals,brakes , etc. electrical

You may have a short in the toad umbilical cord or either the coach socket or the car socket.

If there is a short, indicated by blown fuses, you could have feedback to the brake line thus telling the rv you are putting on your brakes which would turn the cruise control off. Yes it could be intermittent so take each end of the umbilical apart and open the sockets on the vehicles.

I have some of the electrical spray...could that help...I guess I could check that now that I am parked by taking the umbilical cord out of the MH...Is that what you are referring to?

The cruise cuts off because it thinks you stepped on the brake. Which way do you turn the signal to make the cruise quit?

Either way...
When setting still (here in a park), I turn on the turn signal...it flashes correctly, then I step on brake and it stops...I then pulled the umbicale (sp) cord out from the MH and the turn signal keeps working...sounds like it is the cord...I had electrical spray and it didn't help...so must as fellow above says...is probably a short..

It's late and I'm tired. So this is knee-jerk, but let me offer:

Verify that everything is GROUNDED as it should be. So often, we focus on the hot side and forget two things about ground:

1. It's always needed

2. Weak or no ground can cause feedbacks as the current looks for a path home.

I never crow very loudly, I am begging to like the taste of crow. :B

He has not fixed it yet and the spray he used will just make things slippery. One just has to sit down over a bucket with the end of the connector inside and remove the little screw that will get lost when checking each end.

I have overhauled my cords many times in 35 years. It is amazing how funky they can get in one season.

Cruse/Turn signal interaction.... I had that too. Turned out a light bulb (In my case.. Well I won't tell you because there are 7 candidates) was not properly seated in the socket,, Re-seated and all work

The seven candidates
Right FRONT, Left FRONT on the MH
Right Rear, Left Rear on the MH
Right and Left Rear on teh Towed
Towed GROUND lead, actually there are two of these, One on the Towed end, one on the MH end (only one on my case which is why I said 7) and yes.

I have had this problem twice.. The firs time it was one of the 1st 4 (I had no towed) the last time was right after I hooked up the towed for the 1st time (the last one). In all cases it was easy to fix.

I will add I did not expect the FRONT turn signal to be the issue. but on mine it was.. Just re-seated the lamp and it works to this day.

Since I am not real handy with electrical kind of things, I was going to go look for a cord...but are you saying I may see the issue if I take the ends off the cord? If it is a ground, how do I know which it is? BTW the turn signal turned for either right or left does the same thing.
