- MrWizardModeratoryou can turn the inverter OFF at the inverter or with the remote panel IF it has one
that breaker is the 110v from the breaker panel, which passes thru the internal transfer switch
NO power to inverter, no power on those outlets, either the breaker power has to be on
or the inverter has to be on - hotjag1Explorer II

ed gee and hotjag1 are correct! the two circuits with the plugs on them are wired thru my 1800 watt inverter (for a toaster or hair dryer). anyway, on my breaker panel, there is a breaker marked "inverter" i usually leave it off cause i hardly ever need the those plugs when dry camping and even unused, the inverter will use precious amps. however, i could have sworn whenever i plugged into a typical service panel, whether 50 amp or even 15 amp, that those plugs would work with that inverter breaker off. long story short, i didn't see any breakers on the xantrac inverter but when i turned that breaker on in the panel, the plugs started working.
Glad that was the problem. It's always nice to have a simple fix... - rockwind1Explorer IIed gee and hotjag1 are correct! the two circuits with the plugs on them are wired thru my 1800 watt inverter (for a toaster or hair dryer). anyway, on my breaker panel, there is a breaker marked "inverter" i usually leave it off cause i hardly ever need the those plugs when dry camping and even unused, the inverter will use precious amps. however, i could have sworn whenever i plugged into a typical service panel, whether 50 amp or even 15 amp, that those plugs would work with that inverter breaker off. long story short, i didn't see any breakers on the xantrac inverter but when i turned that breaker on in the panel, the plugs started working.

Often on many motor homes many outlets have their AC power routed through an Inverter. Check that a breaker button is not popped on the inverter.
X2.....I had the same problem as the OP. It turned out that one of the breaker switches had tripped on the inverter. Reset the breaker and all outlets had power again. - Ed_GeeExplorer IIOften on many motor homes many outlets have their AC power routed through an Inverter. Check the GFCI
I have seen this as a "Knee jerk" reply in so many "Circuit does not work" threads but in this case.. It really is SUSPECT #1
There is a number 2 but it costs money to fix
Most Rv's are wired something like this.... Starting with the breaker box
Breaker----GFCI==Outlet 2----Outlet 3----Outlet 4---Outlet n
ANd a bad connection anywhere will cause down-line outlets to fail.
A space heater will overload the Quick=Box "punch down" type connections and cause a failure in many cases.
But the GFCI is #1
The folks talking about 2 Legs.. That's #2 on a 50 amp rig running on 30 or 20 amps. - rk911Explorer

so plugged into 50 amp panel like usual at a friends ranch. air conditioning works fine but none of the typical 15 amp plug circuits would work. any thoughs? obviously i had the breakers on, checked all the gfi stuff. don't get it. see quick video i posted on sons youtube accouont since i can't figure out how to put a picture on here. https://youtu.be/urzdrIsgAto
you might have a popped GFCI outlet. check carefully as we had one in a basement compartment. - newman_fulltimeExplorer IIjunction boxes on the frame start looking for burned wires
- Check the GFCI
- Old-BiscuitExplorer III50a is TWO hot legs....
One feeds 1/2 of MAIN AC Panel (one buss)
Other feeds the other 1/2 (other buss)
Each buss has its own 50A CB
Have you verified:
That both legs of friends 50A Receptacle are HOT?
That both legs in your Main AC Panel are HOT?
IF both legs HOT....check that ALL GFCI Outlets are 'live' and reset.
IF GFCI test OK then first outlet in 'daisy chain' that is dead is where wiring issue is
