It is really called the "Battery Disconnect" switch. There is one for the house-battery bank found on the monitor panel. There may be one to disconnect the starting battery(s).
Some starting calling it the "salesman switch" after seeing the salesman use the switch to connect the batteries to use lights, etc. in the RV being shown to a customer. They used the switch to disconnect the batteries when done to keep 12v items from depleting batteries when not needed.
It's a stupid nickname that still is used by some. Think of it as some of your siblings, or friends when young, still calling you by a stupid nickname.
