What is the Ignition Coil like? The older 460's had the oil-filled-can, and they tended to break down with extreme heat. I don't know if the newer epoxy coils were as trouble-prone.
How did you "remove the CAT?" It seems unlikely to me, that the exhaust would plug up hot but not cold, though. But if you put a bypass pipe (for testing only of course) in place of the CAT, something else could still be plugged.
