Thanks. Right now, the nearest dealer pointed out from Yamaha (as in someone who can fix a Yamaha generator on the spot as opposed to having it shipped to some depot) is 80 miles away, and they don't have generator service advertised, so if they don't do that, it would be a 300 mile trip to Dallas.
The parts are not too tough to replace, but it would be nice to have a pro double-check and test output with finer tools than a voltmeter. I did learn that it is a lot easier to use an oil evac pump than try to pop the cork on the bottom to drain it.
