Whether increasing vac output would help I'm not sure. That would be discussed in your owner's manuel, I mean manual. Your manual didn't recommend 4 gauge wire.

My mistake, I went from memory about the wiring... I was wrong. I purchased the GP Inverter Install kit, the cables were each 10ft of 4/0 gauge.

I've written GP and asked their opinion on what I can do.

There's a nagging voice in the back of my head telling me it's wiring at the batteries themselves.

Here's exactly what GP provided in a reply to that Amazon review. (I confirmed my unit is NOT a fleet version)
"Thank you for your comments on the GP-SW3000-12. We can help you solve many of the issues with this inverter to make it much more user friendly. We can adjust the output voltage of the inverter (110VAC) using the dip switches on the side of the inverter. We can adjust the output voltage to 115VAC or 120VAC. The reason the units are default 110VAC is it uses less amperage from the batteries to create the 110VAC as opposed to the 115 or 120VAC. Most devices will run off of 110VAC without issue. We are concerned that you have received one of our fleet versions of the GP-SW3000-12 by mistake. These units have a higher low voltage shut down set to 11.5VDC. Our normal version allows the inverter to run all the way down to 10.5VDC. this voltage is better for running larger appliances that give a false low voltage reading because of the size of the load. What we mean by false reading is when the microwave is on it will pull the battery voltage down quickly to 11.5VDC, yet when the load is turned off the battery voltage spikes back up to 12VDC which is a reasonable level. We still recommend using deep cycle batteries with this unit and with a change in low voltage shut down to 10.5VDC this should correct and shut down issues that you were seeing. For your application I do recommend keeping the unit out of power save mode and just turn the inverter on with either the GP-SWR-A remote or the GP-SWR-B remote when you would like to run a load off of AC power from the inverter, and turning the inverter off when you do not require AC power. I purchased a 50 amp power cable just like the one powering the trailer when on shore power. Clipped off the shore end and hard wired it into the inverter. Then I plug it in.

Wouldn't that cable be ample since it's designed to run a 50 amp system?

did you replace the existing converter, or just turn it off ?
you don't want it on, and drawing charge power in an endless useless drain

Yes you need to turn off the charging circuit on your convertor in the camper. This is usually labeled on one of the breakers..

On mine its not labeled but its the breaker for the front bed outlets..

If I were to plug my camper into an invertor and not turn off the charging circuit at the converter then the invertor will try to charge the battery's..

As stated a viscous circle...

your looking at 140+ amps at 12v into the inverter, voltage drop and amp capacity is a very large concern

you need much bigger wire, to power that MW

That reply wasn't to me. It was a guy having a similar problem. First thing I did was verify the version unit I have. It's NOT the fleet version and is set at 10.5VDC shut down.
