- SaltiDawgExplorerI have two dash cams in my Honda Odyssey. One looks out of the rear window. The other looks forward thru the windscreen.
I NEVER look at the screen except when setting it up initially. To view following an accident, for example, I remove the card and view and edit on my laptop.
Only my ahead looking unit has GPS, don't feel the need to pay for both to have GPS. The GPS unit displays my speed on the recording.
Suggestion. Every month or two, view recordings to make sure it really is recording. I once wanted to view a recording and found it had simply not been recording for 3-4 weeks. Never figured out why? - BumpyroadExplorer

assuming it has about the same sized screen as my various dashcams, my latest one has a rear vision insert that is about the size of a postage stamp and would be about the size of that GPS map screen. that would be totally illegible.
bumpy - Kayteg1Explorer IImatch it with 200 W audio system
- MEXICOWANDERERExplorerWith my old age, I'll need a 27" screen and public address system.

I check price and my Cobra cost me $78 on Amazon.
Decent picture quality (you want to read licence plates) and keeps GPS log for location and speed.
I did not recheck it for few months, so will get on it today, as what I experienced on cheaper cameras, the memory stick can act after some use.
Start using the cameras after within a year -2 ladies rear/side sweep my trailers while not observing proper lane change and report me at fault.
Just to avoid the hassle of sending correcting reports is worth $80 expense. - BumpyroadExplorer

No camera for me.
I bought GPS Cobra for closer to $100 a year ago and prices tend to go down.
The $29 cameras had problem with reading the cards.
