It will work. When they fail you can upgrade to two gp 29 or six volts. The important thing is to not discharge too deeply. Get a digital volt meter installed where it's easy to see. Stay above 12 volts. Going down to 11.7 or so isn't going to instantly kill them but I just always stay above 12. When you store it disconnect the battery cable or get a battery disconnect switch. If charged properly and not discharged too deeply you may be surprised how long they last. I have one gp 27 that is doing it's 9th summer of work this year and will then sit for 7 months again in the cold with a battery tender.
